Su'cuy!

Definitely, this is addictive. I'm working on my next armor: Custom Night-Owl.
I made a sketch with the color scheme, influenced by some suggestions. I working on helmet, which probably will be made on fiberglass/resin. Armor plates will be aluminum, of course. 0.8 mm.

Yes, our stuff is addictive. ^^
The Color pattern looks good, but, fo ra custom night owl it's too close to the original night owl and may look like a actual night owl, but badly done.
I hope you understand what I want to say. ^^
In short: cut loose from the night owl colors, or make a "real" night owl. ;)

I understand what you mean.
I have a little trouble with make canons. I feel like my creativity was stolen.

Maybe that one: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/clo ... 0410225937

Or something quite different. I'll think about it. Thanks :D

A grey and blue color scheme close to Bo Katan technically cannot be referred as a "wanna-be got it wrong", because the other canon Nightowls use just that and assuming that there are dozens... everything goes.

That concept art shows and interesting change on the shoulder plates... thinking of that: you could start with the canon templates and then just an accurate, ergonomic fitting to your own body.

The outcome will be individual automatically because no living woman is built like the clone wars animated figures, but it will still be close enough to the canon outlines. Just go ahead and make ist look good on you :D

I was thinking exactly that, Tomoe. Thank you.
I really liked this color scheme.

There is an interest of three other women in my town to make Night Owl armor. I invited them to join BS to form a Night Owl Squad. They love the idea, but first, I want to see how far this is just an excitement and who will really make a armor. One of them expressed interest in the Bo Katan (because she also wants to submit in 501st), the others girls want to customize.

B tw, I hope to soon have some progress to show.

I created the templates for Bo Katan years ago, when we had far less canon material for the character. And I adjusted it to fit normal human proportions and grant the coverage neccessary for a believable armor. (My own project)

I like it this way and I consider it a good start for custom projects, but I don't guarantee for anything when it comes to 501st-approval. They play according to their own rules which I don't know exactly nor follow. Just to give some examples,
- metal isn't even mentioned in their material description.
- they display very thick gauntlets that look good on a CGI-Muppet, but (in my opinion) disturbe the realist appearance on a normally build human.
- There are several minor differences in shape and proportion of the armor and markings.

Therefore I suggest anybody who builds for 501st-membership, to get in touch with their organisation as early as possible to make sure the project stays close to their ideas.

Thanks for the warning and advice, Tomoe. I have no interest in the 501st, but assuming that my colleagues really participate in BS and also the 501, I will warn them. Of course only will supply these molds to those who are willing to be part of Schimede. One of them even have bought the aluminum plates.

Btw ... I finish to glue the pep helmet. Was my first pep, so a make a lot of mistakes and also I think the helmet is a bit small. I'll print another one, bigger, to test. Also, I print the armor templates, tonight I'll cut and test it.

I've got no Clue of PEP-work, but sizing looks OK to me. May I ask why do you want a bigger helmet?

Buyce tend to make women bobble heads anyway, therefore I suggest to choose the smallest size possible that fits on the head and has sufficient coverage for the jaw... I think you've got that even with the smaller size you built, but I would need a full body pic with the helmet on to tell for certain.

Remember, with a stark black visor, it's OK for the nose to touch from the inside, the view would be less limited this way, too.

I thought a helmet a little bit more bigger would be better, exactly because my nose is touching from inside. XD
But I was think about it after post pics and I'll try this size. I get that dimension measuring my head when I bought a helmet made by Jaro. I just put the same measures in Pepakura Designer and print it.
